So Sidore-chan went and got herself an account on Dailymotion, it seems! HOOREJ

Actroid Repliee Q1-type 001

This post originally had me going on about how I had a YouTube account, but apparently their sensibilities were offended by topless Synthetiks, so I left them posthaste. Then I discovered Dailymotion.com was run out of Europe — or at least, someplace not in the United States of Prudery — so I encouraged Shi-chan to take the reins as far as posting video clips. It’s ironic, you see.

She’ll be uploading more Doll / Gynoid-related fillums from our personal vaults in short order. Of course, when I say ‘in short order’, I mean ‘when she gets round to it’. You know how it goes with us!
There’s quite a few up on her personal Dailymotion page now — be well advised that some people might consider some of the videos a bit pervy (i.e: naked Doll boobs), so there’s your warning — but as an apéritif, here’s a video of the Repliee Q1 version of that delicious Actroid-chan, showing off a couple of her abilities. Personally, I’d like for her to stand up and tell the nearest individual present to get her some less dowdy clothes, but I would say that

How cool! Nice collection, I espcially liked Ms Honda’s Twin, and what a cutie Ms Honda is! Thanks for the great vids!

(Also, parenthetically speaking, you MAY be interested to know that the past few weeks fans have been uploading to youTUBE *numerous* Kate Bush videos for those wanting to see them!)

Thanks DC, looking forward to your vids! These 4 were tres cool 😉

I still say this Gynoid has Hall-ot-the-Presidents look to her movement.

    PBS & the Lily –
Glad you dug ’em! Yeah, Marie Honda and Marie Honda are both tasty pastries. I’d say that their Gothic-Lolita style appeals to me, but that’d be stating the obvious. 😉

I’m going to have to scour YouTube now for those Kate Bush videos! More time-killers, hoorej! 🙂

Well, it’s like I told you; you’re not gonna have Cherry 2000 right out of the gate — it’d be beyond fantastic if that were the case, but it’s highly unlikely. You have to crawl before you walk, y’know..

  4. SafeTinspector writes:

And I like it when they crawl!

Damn, it’s both hyper realistic and robotic at the same time, both fascinating and somewhat creepy. It’s wild either way. From what I’ve been reading and hearing we’re no less than 5 years away from a LOT of out there Ghost in the Shell strangeness. Guess the future isn’t as far away as some might think, no? Crawling for sure but frankly they’re moving at a pretty fast pace with this stuff if you ask me.

  6. Davecat writes:

Heh, not fast enough of a pace, if you ask me. 😉

Well, in reading Gaby Wood’s book ‘Edison’s Eve’, you have to wonder what our lives would be like today, if certain horrible occurrences didn’t happen hundreds of years ago. For instance, back in the 13th Century, a Dominican monk named Albertus Magnus spent 30 years building a primitive Android out of brass, that was endowed with the power of speech. Unfortunately, Magnus’ student Thomas Aquinas, undoubtedly viewing this new creation as something bedeviled, smashed the Android to pieces with a hammer. The philosopher Descartes, having brought his wood-and-clockwork replica of his daughter on a ship bound for Sweden, watched in horror as the ship’s crew, again convinced of demonic magicks upon seeing her in motion, threw her overboard. Now, you have to ask yourself, if the common herd were more adjusted to the concept of Synthetiks back in previous centuries, would we in 2006, have Androids and Gynoids that surpassed Actroid on multiple levels? We probably wouldn’t even consider them unusual in the slightest. Kinda makes me want to go back in time, and take a hammer to Thomas Aquinas..

So don’t say ‘creepy’, that’s demonising! Say ‘different’ instead. 🙂

“endowed with the power of speech.” (?!?)
What possible mechanism could there have been to produce such an effect? Other than the “mama” or “moo!” boxes, that is.

Aquinas is himself an interesting fellow. Certainly religious, he was nonetheless a tireless philosopher and not prone to much superstition other than the core belief sets of Catholocism. He is fairly famous for attempting to adapt Greek Aristotalian philosophy to Catholic thought. I figure he probably smashed the thing because it was a despicable fraud.

But, I suppose the event may have occured after his mystical episode, after which he never wrote another word. He..uh.. well, he heard voices sometimes.
