Those with habits of waste,
Their sense of style and good taste,

Is this the singer of Joy Division ? Sorry, I don`t bought any records of them, when he was still alive.

Yes, that’s Ian Curtis, lyricist and vocalist for Joy division. It’s my opinion that he excelled at both, but I would say that.
The group only recorded two albums: Unknown pleasures (1979), and Closer (1980), which are really good, and exceptionally good, in that order. Then there’s the Peel Sessions, and Substance, which is the compilation you probably have, and the four-Cd box set, Heart and soul, all worth owning. Finally, you could always do yourself a favour and watch ‘Control‘ from 2007, which is the story of Joy division, and a hell of a film.
Joy division were at the top of the post-punk category, and Ian was a crucial part of their sound. Now go enjoy it. 🙂
